Churches, Mosques and Temples
The Mauritians are proud of their multicultural society and heritage. The striking cultural diversities encompass Indian, African, Chinese and European nation and embrace a religious harmony. Colourful Chinese pagodas, elaborately decorated Hindu temples and Islamic mosques intermingle with Christian churches throughout the island.
Festivals, often designated public holidays, reflect the religious
diversity. Please show due respect when visiting religious places. Wear
appropriate clothing and remove leather shoes and belts when entering
the premises.
Coastal Excursions and Inland Excursions
Cruises is an unforgettable way to experience a relaxing day skimming the emerald waters on a luxurious schooner or spacious catamaran. Trips are available to several of the small island off the coast of Mauritius, most being designated nature reserves.
Inland excursions can be organised to view the picturesque waterfalls

Public Gardens - are scattered all over the island, but the most famous are the pamplemousses gardens. The gardens are known to naturalists throughout the world for their large collection of indigenous and exotic plants, including the giant Victoria region water lilies and many species of palm trees of particular interest is the talipot palm, which is said to flower once every sixty years and thereafter die.
Bois Cherie - is the location of a vast tea plantation stretching as far as the eye can see, amidst the lush vegetation of Mauritius. A guided tour of the factory is fascinating and demonstrates how the world's favourite beverage is made and processed.
Rochester
Falls - Located on the south of the island between the cane fields
and beaten tracks, the gorges appear. Picturesque falls cascade
over vertical columns of basalt, created by constant erosion, to an
inviting natural pool.
Charmarel is highly unusual natural phenomenon, formed after years of erosion. The predominant volcanic rock and ash, eroded by the elements in the undulating hill, have created multi-coloured landscape, violet, red, blue and yellow earths are starting, as is the nearby chamarel waterfall which plunges 83 mts into a deep clear pool, set in lush vegetation.

Vanille crocodile park - this wooded, sub tropical nature park lies
in the wild south, Nile crocodile, imported from Madagascar, are the
main attraction. walks can be arranged through the exotic forest with
freshwater springs, past giant aldabra tortoises, wide-eyed Mauritian
fruit bats, wild boars, macaque monkeys and luminous green geckos and
chameleons.
Walking with Lions and Cheetahs - A first in Mauritius
